Whether you’re looking to sate your taste buds on delightful Indian and Thai dishes, or just enjoy creatively made tipples for a night out, Face Kitchen in Senopati is the place to go.
Situated in Jakarta’s most buzzing lifestyle district, Face Kitchen is fully dedicated to whipping out only the best tasting comfort foods from Thailand and India. Formerly known as Lan Na Thai and Hazara Restaurant in Menteng, food connoisseurs in Jakarta are more than familiar with the quality of the restaurant’s food.
In 2019, the restaurant rebranded as Face Kitchen and moved to the livelier area of Senopati. Dubbed Jakarta’s food district, Senopati is where diners can choose from a myriad of restaurants.
In the kitchen, New Delhi-born chef Som oversees each dish, meticulously preserving the traditional methods of North Indian cooking to perfection. For example, the tandoor is cooked over an open charcoal fire to bring out the complex and smoky flavours.
With authenticity on its mind, the menu is carefully crafted to delight every taste bud with set menus and à la carte choices. Guests get to savour hearty dishes such as tom yam goong, pad thai, massaman curry, as well as mouth-watering selections of north Indian-inspired dishes like murgh tikka or rogan josh with delicious homemade tandoor baked naan.
More than just a place to savour creatively made dishes, Face Kitchen is also a great place to socialise comfortably. Designed by Frank Drake, the restaurant harkens back in time to the Silk Road era, where socialising between friends and colleagues supported the spice trade.
