Inspired by the pioneering spirit and its longstanding history, Beringer celebrates the better things in life with a global campaign that involves all of the brand’s friends and enthusiasts.

When the Beringer brothers, Jacob and Frederick established Beringer Vineyards in the great expanse that is Napa Valley, they had a vision of producing exceptional quality wines that would rival even the finest wines of Europe. The land itself, which stretches for just 30 miles and is a few miles wide, contains uniquely diverse microclimates and soils favourable to the cultivation of a wide range of wine varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Franc. Fully realising this vast potential, the brothers’ drive and determination, paired with hard work and innovative thinking, carried the brand to become California’s longest continually operating winery today. Led by Jacob’s great great-grandson, Chief Winemaker Mark Beringer, Beringer now cultivates over 650 hectares across Napa’s best appellations, as well as Sonoma County and Paso Robles, naming itself as one of the region’s pre-eminent producers with a rich portfolio of wines.
Today, Beringer’s Founders’ Estate collection honours the pioneering sense of discovery that brought founding brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer to California with dreams of crafting fine wine. The Founders’ Estate line of wines offers concentrated expressions of the most popular varietals, steeped in quality that comes from Beringer’s history of crafting great wines from all over California for over 130 vintages.
Started in the final quarter of 2016, the brand’s promise to “bring the better” to consumers has manifested into a series of international campaign visuals that evoke Beringer’s authentic American heritage under the #BetterBeckons Instagram persona. The campaign featured Instagram sensation Murad Osmann (@MuradOsmann) as he traversed the scenic Napa Valley, and from there the spirit of better has spread wildly to friends of Beringer worldwide, as they too, added their own inspirational photos to the campaign.
Specifically for Indonesia, the campaign made its debut at Food, Hotel & Tourism Bali, an international trade event for the F&B and hospitality industry, and it will continue to run well into 2017. The Better Beckons campaign has been coming to life as a series of in-store visuals in various outlets across Indonesia, including a photo contest for a chance to win a trip to Beringer vineyards at Napa Valley. Top 5 People’s Picks
We went up close and personal with Instagram celebrities and wine aficionados to get their take on the Beringer’s Founders’ Estate wines. Inspired by the campaign and Beringer’s own charming appeal of history and innovation, they shared their thoughts below.
Cabernet Sauvignon
@bcorputty
The Founders’ Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep concentrated red colour wine. Would be nice if you decant the wine for 7-10 minutes before drinking. Food pairing suggestion, medium-cooked sirloin with black pepper sauce, lamb chopped chimicurri sauce, or medium rare rib eye with mushroom sauce. Highly recommended for a big group dinner.

Chardonnay
@myfunfoodiary
“Beringer is a unique brand with a very diverse portfolio, and the Founders’ Estate Chardonnay in particular has some very interesting mix. In my experience, the Chardonnay paired with paella was divine because it brings out the prawn and other seafood found within.”
−
Merlot
@hdrynas
Starting with the fruity aroma and complex flavours, the Beringer Founders’ Estate Merlot surprised me with a very robust flavour when paired with aglio olio tuna. The wine finished dry and with just the right amount of bitterness in the aftertaste.
−
Pinot Noir
@foodaffair
First of all, we really enjoyed pairing the delicious food here at Por Que No with fabulous wines from Beringer. My personal favourite is the Founders’ Estate Pinot Noir because of its sweetness and very low tannin. It goes really well with the beef steak, which turned out to be really fantastic!
−
Sauvignon Blanc
@yentithongahan
My personal favourite for aperitif is the Founders’ Estate Sauvignon Blanc. It is fresh with the right acidity, a hint of melon and tropical fruit in the palate, and fully complemented by its silky texture and lingering finish.
