Common Grounds Terra

Crowds have been eagerly flocking to Common Grounds Terra, but it’s not just the brand’s signature café experience that’s enticing them. With the simultaneous launch of the Menteng Tennis Club, Common Grounds’ latest venture, a visit to this newly opened space now comes with the added thrill of playing on a sleek tennis court right next to the café.

Guests can fill their stomachs with their all-time favourite, spaghetti with cream sauce. Kaum

Dining at Kaum is always a delightful surprise. What appears to be a quaint colonial house from the outside unfolds into a spacious dining hall, complete with a vibrant bar and a large open kitchen, as well as an inviting semi-private dining room for a touch of intimacy.

Many will find the dishes at Kaum familiar because the restaurant’s first intention was to highlight the finest of Indonesian cuisine. For example, the Nasi Goreng Cabe Asap is a tasty twist on plain rice. This dish combines home-smoked chilli paste, fresh prawns, fermented krill and smelly beans, creating a burst of flavours that delight the palate without being too overpowering.

Take Bistik Jawa to another level. Marinated beef ribeye steak, accompanied by crispy fried garlic potatoes, baby carrots, field mushrooms, shallots and sweet soya gravy, creates a flavour explosion in every bite.

Emilia Bar Italiano

Despite its name, which evokes images of Mediterranean allure, stepping inside Pappardelle Con Bistecca feels like entering a charmingly rustic American pub, where the warmth of wood and familiar decor instantly envelops you in a cosy embrace.

This dining establishment is one of my all-time favourites. It serves a plate of savoury pappardelle pasta served with steak. Their brunch menu includes antipasti like the Foie E Frutti Di Bosco, a smooth and flavourful bite of foie gras and toasted brioche on a tart berry coulis.

Another thing that makes Emilia’s Bar stand out is its specialty cocktails. For example, Paddlepop is a bright and refreshing drink made with lemongrass tequila, passion fruit, and a homemade ice cream stick for a bubblegum touch.
