Presenting the finest Cantonese flavours, the highest Chinese restaurant and rooftop lounge in Jakarta is preparing a specially curated menu to welcome the prosperous new year.
Aiming to bring family and friends together for a season of festivities, Chāo Cháo is creating a special Chinese New Year menu inspired by China’s vibrant tradition along with themed venue decorations. Executed perfectly by Executive Chef Sky Wong, this special menu is available to taste from 16 January until 5 February 2023.
On the menu, Chef Sky has prepared dishes that will please the palates of all Chinese food lovers. Each dish on the menu holds a symbolic meaning to ignite the Year of the Rabbit on a high note. Synonym for the Chinese New Year celebration is the Salmon Yu Sheng to bring prosperity in the year ahead. In addition to the famous salad, delightful dishes will include Happiness dim sum, 8 Treasure Chicken, steamed tiger grouper with golden crispy taro ring, fragrant rice and assorted preserved meat and sausages, and to finish it on a sweet note, a Berry sphere firecracker is sure to amaze.
Not to be outdone, Chāo Cháo’s mixology team have created two special CNY edition cocktails. Head to one of the bars for pre-dining drinks and sample the Óng lāiii, a hearty rum-based cocktail with delightful notes of pineapple infused with elegant flavours of jasmine tea or Mángguǒ Spritz – a refreshing concoction with prominent mango flavour and playful bubbles from the homemade carbonated Chinese liqueur.
The highlight of the Lunar New Year celebrations will undoubtedly be the weekend leading to New Year’s Day from 20 to 22 January with the Rooftop welcoming revellers with a stellar talent lineup.
