VIN+
As much as we love VIN+ for its impressive wine cellar (and the incredible interiors that make it even easier to sup multiple vinos) we keep returning for the sweet stuff in the kitchen, namely the cute cupcake-shaped chocolate fondant. Just as you expect from a well-crafted fondant, a hot and gooey chocolate middle splurges out when you break into its perfectly baked crust. This chocolatey goodness then melts into a creamy vanilla ice cream perched alongside.
Just like VIN+’s wines, the recipe for their chocolate fondant is global in its origin. It was passed on to the VIN+ Sicilian chef by a fellow Sicilian pastry chef in London, so it is an Italian interpretation of the traditional French delicacy. It then takes another international twist by using locally sourced chocolate from Bedugul in the north of Bali; just one more reason why this dessert is not to be missed. (www.vingroup.biz)
