Now, going even further and creating a lasting dining experience for its diners, Sumire has brought chef Taichi Sato of Ichita Restaurant in Japan to Jakarta.
From 13 to 16 August, lovers of Japanese food can indulge in true kaiseki dining from the master. Ichita Restaurant, located in Aoyama, Tokyo, is one of Tokyo’s finest restaurants serving an authentic kaiseki dining experience. Headed by chef Sato, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star a year after it opened and serves meals designed to accentuate the natural flavours of each ingredient.
Exclusively at Sumire, chef Sato will present a series of refined dishes made with ingredients flown in fresh from Japan. Expect a nine-course kaiseki menu that will start with tantalising steamed abalone with caviar and Japanese tiger shrimp, followed by sumptuous dishes that include swordfish karaage with sesame sauce, kaga eggplant with sea urchin and many more.
