Fashion icon, beauty entrepreneur and queen of authenticity—Michelle Halim shares her journey from Instagram posts to becoming entrepreneurial powerhouse. And yes, she’s just getting started.
E: What inspired you to step into the world of social media and entrepreneurship?
A: The financial freedom that it brought was a major draw. However, I didn’t follow any big game plan—my platform grew organically. I’ve always kept it real, and I think people connect with that. Being myself is my superpower.
E: You’ve got your hands full with businesses in fashion, beauty and even healthy catering. How do you manage it all while still being active as an influencer?
A: I run on high energy—seriously! That’s what keeps me going. I thrive on being busy, and I’ve learned how to juggle everything without losing my spark.
E: Social media can be a minefield when it comes to sharing opinions. How do you keep it real?
A: I believe social media is meant for honest expression. I speak my truth, and if people don’t agree or feel uncomfortable with it—that’s on them. I won’t tone myself down for likes or approval.
E: Your Instagram bio used to state “Minister of Beauty”. What was the story behind it?
A: It started as a cheeky nickname from my followers because I’ve always been very open about my beauty journey. Now, it’s become a fun little title that means a lot to me—it’s affectionate and a nod to the transparency I’ve always embraced.
E: What does ‘ideal beauty’ look like to you?
A: To me, beauty starts with health—a strong, fit body, glowing skin, balanced features, and of course, a good smile. It’s about feeling and looking your best from the inside out.
E: Your fashion choices are always on point. How would you describe your personal style?
A: I’d say it’s edgy with a touch of glam. I love blending bold silhouettes with sophisticated details. It’s all about reflecting my mood and owning every outfit.
E: You have a talent for mixing casual and luxurious styles. What’s your style advice for someone trying to find their signature look?
A: Dress for your body, always. The perfect outfit means nothing if it doesn’t suit your shape. And don’t forget, confidence is everything. A fit and healthy body is the best base for any outfit.
