A New Culinary Delight in Ungasan

A New Culinary Delight in Ungasan

Karma Kandara introduces Warung Pantai to add more fun to your tropical sun-session.

Perched on the towering cliffs at the southernmost tip of Bali, Karma Kandara provides an unrivalled haven of luxury. The resort, which is located high above the Indian Ocean, is well-known for its amazing views, which include an endless sky that blends into the deep blue waters below. While the exquisite villas and serene atmosphere make Karma Kandara a sought-after retreat, its latest addition, Warung Pantai, adds a new dimension to its charm.

Warung Pantai, the brainchild of Karma Group Executive Chef Joseph Antonishek, is a newly unveiled beachside bistro that promises to elevate the dining experience at Karma Kandara. This culinary gem is set against the backdrop of one of Bali’s most beautiful beaches, where the soft white sands meet the crystal-clear waters, creating a picture-perfect setting for a memorable meal.

Chef Antonishek, renowned for his innovative approach to cuisine, has crafted a menu that celebrates the rich and diverse flavours of pan-Asian cuisine. Drawing inspiration from his extensive travels through Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, India and Indonesia, he has curated a selection of dishes that not only pay homage to these countries’ culinary traditions but also add a contemporary twist that enhances each flavour profile.

At Warung Pantai, guests can expect to embark on a gastronomic journey that takes them through the vibrant street markets of Bangkok, the aromatic kitchens of Kerala, and the bustling food stalls of Saigon. Starters like the jumbo crab summer rolls with a tangy passionfruit dipping sauce and the delicately spiced Cambodian fish cakes set the stage for a culinary adventure. The Thai crispy mushrooms offer a delightful crunch, perfectly balanced with the fresh flavours of Southeast Asia.

For the main course, Warung Pantai does not disappoint. The Kerala Chicken Moilee, a rich and creamy coconut-based curry, transports diners straight to the coastal kitchens of South India. The Malaysian Asam Laksa, with its tangy and spicy broth, is a nod to the complex flavours of Malaysian street food. The Vietnamese-inspired Pork Tomahawk Chop, a true showstopper, is a testament to Chef Antonishek’s ability to blend traditional techniques with modern flair.

But the culinary journey doesn’t end there. Warung Pantai’s dessert offerings are as enticing as the main menu. The pineapple rum crème brûlée is a tropical twist on a classic favourite, while the Milo panna cotta offers a playful and nostalgic finish to the meal.

Warung Pantai is an experience rather than just a restaurant. It embodies Karma Group’s commitment to offering world-class luxury experiences by continuously innovating and pushing the boundaries of what a beachside dining experience can be.
