Adining destination in Bali with a to-die-for view, the relatively young oneeighty° has gained quite the following over the past few months. Part of The edge, one of Bali’s most striking villa complexes, oneeighty° is perched on one of Uluwatu’s stunning cliffs, 150m above the vast Indian Ocean – blessing it with a jaw-dropping view to behold. To put the cherry on top, oneeighty° has one of the most iconic infinity swimming pools on the island, with a dramatic glass bottom and extending 6m over the cliff edge.
Recently, oneeighty° added a number of scrumptious delicacies to the menu, offering more options to sate the hunger, including the smoky eggplant dip with flatbread, the juicy cheeseburger sliders, the healthy quinoa salad and the veggie burger. The sweet section also sees newcomers, like the grilled pineapple with brioche, rum syrup and rum-and-raisin ice cream, and tropical pavlova with mango and passion fruit.
One of the outstanding dishes from the new selection is the mac and cheese balls, a modern take on the classic dish, enhanced with a hint of truffle aioli. If you’re more on the healthy side of life, the Ulu Bowl is a refreshing and fulfilling choice comprising red rice, edamame, mango, pomelo, dragon fruit, tempeh and more healthy elements. For a hearty main, you can’t go wrong with ikan sambal mangga – soy-glazed coral trout, served with green mango sambal and savoury butter rice. Wrap up your culinary journey with the climate-appropriate Bounty as a dessert – coconut sorbet, complete with shredded young coconut and dried coconut, served on a Valrhona chocolate-lined coconut shell.
