This October, Padma Resort Legian will host an exclusive dining series that promises to be as memorable as it is flavourful. Flavours of Nikkei and Latin American brings together two acclaimed chefs, Silverio Martinez and Juan Carlos Jara Eyzaguirre, for a culinary collaboration that highlights both heritage and innovation.
Chef Silverio Martinez, Head Chef of CasaLena in Jakarta, is renowned for his mastery of Latin American grill techniques and wood fire cooking. With an international career that has taken him across Asia and Mexico, he brings a passion for bold flavours and refined skill to the table.
Joining him is Padma Resort Legian’s own Chef Juan Carlos Jara Eyzaguirre, the Executive Sous Chef and creative force behind TENKAI Japanese Nikkei Restaurant. Born in Peru and shaped by more than 14 years of international experience, Chef Juan Carlos is celebrated for his inventive take on Nikkei cuisine, where Japanese precision meets Peruvian soul. His signature dishes, from Parihuela Udon to Ise Ebi Popcorn, reflect both personal stories and culinary artistry.
Together, these two South American talents will craft a special two-day menu at TENKAI, blending the fire of Latin tradition with the elegance of Nikkei. Guests can expect a dining journey that is authentic, imaginative and truly one of a kind.
