Social Affair Introduces a New Bagel Culture in Jakarta

Bagels arrive in Jakarta with a new twist as Social Affair launches Bagel Affair at Tribeca Park. Hand-shaped, freshly baked and rooted in both tradition and creativity, the concept introduces a daily delight that speaks to all ages.

The bustle of Tribeca Park now carries a new allure, lifted by the warm aroma of freshly baked bagels. Social Affair, a name long familiar in Jakarta’s dining landscape, has introduced Bagel Affair, its latest concept that blends tradition with modern flair. The opening marks signals the rise of bagels as a distinctive addition to the city’s evolving culinary culture.

Behind the idea is Chef Farid Al Farouq, Corporate Executive Pastry Chef of Artisan Kuliner Group, who speaks of bagels as both craft and culture. Each one is prepared daily, shaped by hand, and baked to deliver a freshness rarely found in Jakarta. His vision is clear: to build a culture where bagels are a daily delight, approachable, inventive and always authentic.

The menu reflects this philosophy with flavours that range from comforting to adventurous. Sweet creations share space with hearty savoury options, giving diners reasons to return. Yet it is not only about taste. Bagel Affair adds character through storytelling, introducing four playful mascots, Coco Loco, Rubi Razz, Mizuki-Chan and Sir P. Strami, each with its own personality.

This imaginative touch ensures the concept appeals across generations. Families can find fun in the characters, while food enthusiasts discover new flavours with every visit. By weaving together craftsmanship, creativity and a sense of community, Bagel Affair offers Jakarta something fresh.
