Bali’s first aquarium dining venue, Koral Restaurant, is now open at the majestic The Apurva Kempinski.
Although it has been open less than a year, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is quickly cementing its place as the ultimate gastronomy destination in Bali. Home to several great dining outlets, Koral Restaurant brings Bali its first underwater experience.
Inside the restaurant, teak ceilings and walls of traditional red clay bricks frame the underwater views, while underfoot, elegant black and white tegel tiles popular in royal courts further add to the sense of historic splendour. Within the aquarium, tropical fish swirl in a kaleidoscope of colours, creating a mesmerising backdrop for the diners.
Helmed by Executive Sous Chef Imam Fayumi, the menu is inspired by Indonesian coastal flavours, with a wealth of fresh produce grown across the archipelago. In addition to the à la carte menu, Koral Restaurant also offers a four-course degustation menu paired with wine and is a full bistronomic experience at a venue that is both casual and refined with the added hypnotic ambience of an aquarium.
