William Grant & Sons, a family-owned independent distillery, has officially opened its Indonesian outlet, The Distillers Library, earlier this year. Located in a popular area of Jakarta, this place is a whisky lover’s paradise where you can enjoy a unique and personalised experience guided directly by the brand ambassador.
More than just a shop, The Distillers Library is a dedicated space for learning and exploration. Whether you’re new to whisky or a collector, there’s always something new to discover. In the retail area you can purchase bottles from the main William Grant & Sons range, including Glenfiddich and The Balvenie. The hidden area is an exclusive space that houses a number of rare and precious treasures from the William Grant & Sons family archive. It is a rare offering, displayed in a luxurious portfolio, which is only displayed in The Distillers Library.
The Distillers Library’s collection of treasured whiskies tells the story of the Grant family’s heritage and traditions. These include Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt whisky, which has been produced since 1887. Guests can also enjoy a limited-edition collection of The Balvenie, dedicated to five rare crafts that create its signature flavours.
As part of the launch of The Distillers Library, William Grant & Sons also presented Ladyburn Edition One, a 54-year-old whisky distilled in 1966. This is the first whisky in a limited-edition collection from the closed Ladyburn distillery. They will continue to be updated with rare collections from William Grant & Sons’ oldest, deepest and most comprehensive repository. Guests can expect to discover something new every time they visit. In addition to Ladyburn, connoisseurs and collectors will be able to enjoy other exceptional limited-edition collections and rare whiskies.
