At The Laguna, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali
With a name that derives from one of Indonesia’s exotic fish, and a location that boasts the stunning coastline of Nusa Dua, Arwana has secured its place as one of the finest dining destinations in Bali, highlighting its seafood dishes.
Every Tuesday and Friday, Arwana hosts the popular Fisherman’s Night Out themed dinner, where diners can bask in a decadent array of fresh seafood, including lobsters, crabs, prawns and much more. If you’re more of a weekend person, then Arwana’s Sunday Beach & BBQ Brunch is not to be missed.
Arwana goes beyond tasty seafood cuisine, as the restaurant also offers an experience to remember, with a soothing view of the ocean, the white sandy beach, and the Balinese Full Moon Dinner, where you can savour a scrumptious five-course Balinese feast under the full moon, complemented by authentic Balinese dance and live music by the beach.
The open kitchen and engaging kitchen team – helmed by esteemed Executive Chef I Made Putra – also contribute to the memorable dining experience on offer at Arwana. “We like to come out and meet our guests, because we want to make sure that their satisfaction is our top priority,” Putra explained. “We also make sure to use the freshest seafood to maintain our quality. We let the food talk for itself.”
While the seafood barbeque buffet is too sumptuous to be missed, no seafood enthusiast should overlook the à la carte selection. For a fulfilling snack to share, the dragon rolls sushi is simply scrumptious, with lobster tempura filling, topped with grilled unagi and tuna floss, served with chilli mayonnaise and teriyaki glaze.
Furthermore, the tuna ceviche is a divine starter, and for the main course, the Tasmanian salmon with sweet potato purée and Balinese base gede crust is a perfect combination of Indonesian and international flavours.
