In July 2018, The Dharmawangsa Jakarta welcomed the renowned pastry chef I Made Kona as the Executive Chef of Jakarta Restaurant and Cake Shop. An acclaimed chef with an impressive career spanning more than 30 years in world-class establishments across Asia, Chef Kona brings a wealth of experience and exciting new ideas.
Chef Kona started his culinary journey at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, Bali, proving his competence and talent by working his way up to the prestigious Pastry Chef de Patisserie. Aside from experiences in five-star establishments in Indonesia such as Four Seasons Resort Bali and The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, Chef Kona has made his mark internationally with successful stints in Four Seasons Singapore and consultant roles for Four Seasons Maldives. Chef Kona also had the honour of winning the prestigious Singapore and Indonesia Salon Culinaire International Competition of the World Association of Chef’s Societies, as well as starring as a guest judge for the critically acclaimed MasterChef Indonesia reality show.
