Through the innovation of its Chef’s Garden, W Bali – Seminyak will be ready to serve you great food prepared from the freshest produce.

Understanding the always growing demand to use the highest quality fresh ingredients in the kitchen, W Bali – Seminyak has decided to grow its own produce onsite with the addition of a Chef’s Garden. This idea is headed by W Bali’s Director of Culinary Beryl Adler, who believes in sustainability and providing a better way of growing and using food.

In the 326sqm garden, the chefs will grow fresh fruits and vegetables, micro greens, herbs and edible flowers that will be used in all dining and bar outlets, from Starfish Bloo to FIRE and Woobar. The chillies will be used to create sambal selections, while at the bar, fresh mint will be picked daily for mojitos, thyme and rosemary for infused simple syrups and basil for other speciality drinks.

“I am blissful to have this garden in our backyard. It not only sustains our outlets, but it teaches our cooks, chefs and guests where food comes from and how to respect ingredients. It gives us an understanding of how long it takes to grow a fruit or vegetable. It shows us how to take care of plants. Having our team here taking care of the garden teaches us all to respect the products before they go on a plate, resulting in a tastier dish,” commented Chef Beryl Adler to mark this milestone for W Bali – Seminyak.
