In Full Flow

A sumptuous offering of bespoke cocktails, trendy music and finger-licking good bar snacks is only the entrée at Flow, the hippest bar in town.

Featuring full-length windows, polished concrete walls, futuristic metallic hanging lamps and eclectic pieces of avant garde artwork, the interior of Flow is the epitome of cool. Gracefully furnished with warm polished hazelnut tabletops, chic ergonomic dining chairs and ritzy couches, the dining area of Flow welcomes its visitors to tuck into Flow’s delectable culinary creations and delightful libations in comfort and style. Featuring an exciting nightly rotation of visiting international rockstar DJs, famous musicians and local indie bands, guests won’t lack for entertainment in Flow bar. The handsome bar showcases a comprehensive array of spirits with rare imported labels that would be the envy of any collector. A full-service wine cellar is available for the discerning wine enthusiast to browse, situated right by the sliding service entrance. Flow’s own private room is available for booking, a cosy space comfortably seating 20 suitable for small gatherings.

Snugly fitting a crowd of 100 people, Flow bar is an intimately designed space. Post the noon hours, the bar is a comfy respite from the bustle of Mega Kuningan, with warm western sunlight pouring in through its tempered-glass windows. Visitors can lounge on the cushy sofas and enjoy a comforting cup of Tanamera Roastery’s coffee with a slice of cendol cake – a moist pandan cake with lashings of coconut cream and sinful gula melaka. When the golden hour has faded into the velvety Jakarta night-time, guests stream into the bar to unwind after a productive day in Mega Kuningan. Suit jackets folded, top buttons undone and ties loosened, high-powered executives clink glasses of their favourite whiskies over platters of exquisitely prepared bar snacks. Couples browse thoughtfully in the elegant wine cellar while a sommelier hints at tasteful pairing suggestions for their evening meal.

Craft beer lovers can choose from Flow’s curated selections, with Japan’s Hitachino and Baird ales, Germany’s Erdinger wheat beer and England’s Strongbow cider amongst other selections.

The founders’ obsession with whisky is transparent in Flow’s enviable collection of whiskies. Flow’s selection of single malt scotch includes Speyside whiskies such as Glenlivet, Singleton and Glenfiddich, which are sweet and delicate, as well as highland whiskies such as The Macallan, Dalwhinnie and Oban that are full-bodied and smooth. Adventurous whisky veterans should go for an Islay single malt scotch such as Laphroaig or Lagavulin, which are wreathed in the region’s signature smokiness. Japanese and American whisky diehards are well-catered too, with quality selections of Nikka, Yamasaki, Maker’s Mark and Woodford Reserve.
