In a dazzling celebration of the Year of the Snake, Maison Hennessy has introduced a stunning limited-edition collection in partnership with Shuting Qiu, a renowned Chinese fashion designer celebrated for her intricate and vibrant designs. This collaboration infuses Hennessy’s iconic bottles with fresh energy, blending the rich symbolism of the snake with modern artistic flair.
The collection, aptly named Reimagination, embodies themes of transformation and renewal, echoing the cultural significance of the snake. The bottles are adorned with bold, abstract interpretations of snakeskin patterns inspired by traditional Chinese brocade and jacquard textures. Qiu’s distinctive style weaves vivid colours and floral motifs, creating a harmonious fusion of heritage and contemporary design.
The collection features three unique editions—VSOP, X.O., and Paradis—each telling its own visual story. The youthful VSOP edition is characterized by bright floral designs interlaced with Hawaiian-inspired elements, radiating a lively and energetic vibe. It even includes a reusable fabric bag, merging practicality with artistry. The X.O edition stands out with its opulent red, gold, and blue tones, complemented by embossed textures reminiscent of fine textiles. Meanwhile, with its vibrant red bottle, the Paradis edition exudes refined elegance, featuring sleek and tactile accents that make it truly captivating.
Drawing on her roots in Hangzhou and her training at the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Qiu’s designs beautifully merge Eastern and Western influences. Her collaboration with Hennessy honours Chinese cultural traditions and pushes creative boundaries, transforming each bottle into a stunning centrepiece for Lunar New Year celebrations.
