Legendary Italian restaurant Bella Cucina at InterContinental Bali Resort recently unveiled its revamped look and introduced a dedicated chef de cuisine to helm the kitchen. Hailing from France, Romain Levefre leads the skilled culinary team, bringing years of illustrious and inspirational experience. Under his leadership, Bella Cucina has introduced a new menu that focuses more on Mediterranean cuisine, in addition to seasonal Italian delicacies.
Diners have the flexibility of choosing from the à la carte menu at Bella Cucina or opting for the Table D’Hote set menu for an easy choice. Start with lush appetisers, such as the pan-seared foie gras with porcini mushroom and fig jam; or the grilled tiger prawns with Catalan roast vegetables and eggplant caviar.
The delectable stars of the menu are herb-crusted lamb loin served with fried polenta, asparagus, edamame, baby carrot and Kalamata olive jus; the lobster linguine with fresh tomato and basil; and the roasted octopus with risotto and pesto, sun tomato and capsicum coulis.
The restaurant offers a variety of dining areas to cater to different moods and diner preference. The fully air-conditioned main dining area is located on the first floor, accommodating up to 72 guests, while the dining area on the second floor can host 32 guests. The Surya Room is designed as a luxurious glass conservatory with luminous chandeliers and refined cutlery, and aims to provide an intimate setting for a party of up to 10 people.
Of course, Bali’s balmy and breezy tropical air is part of the island’s charm. To make the most of this, choose the outdoor area, surrounded by lush, manicured gardens. In addition, Bella Cucina also has an upper-level area that can be transformed into an enchanting venue for private dining events with up to 32 guests, serving a tailored menu. A charming outdoor terrace lies adjacent to the upper-level area for tasteful aperitif sessions.
