Hong Kong’s Aqua Restaurant Group brings a touch of luxury to the brunch scene with two of its restaurants, Aqua and Armani/Aqua. Wittily named Because Brunch, the offer combines an effortlessly cool ambience with a unique style of brunching, served to the table. The Colossal Share Cocktail selection starts off the experience, giving guests an idea of how cool the journey is going to be. Choose from one of Aqua’s signature fruity mixes like Aqua King, Aqua Queen or the Daddy Mac, and find yourself in awe as you see it served in a golden goblet to share.
Other than the dazzling views of Hong Kong’s harbour and skyline, the unique thing about Aqua is its innovative combination of contemporary Italian and Japanese cuisines. The same concept applies to Because Brunch, with its unlimited starter platters comprising Italian appetisers like parma ham, Mazzancolle Sicilian red prawns, spicy salami and artisan Italian burrata, along with a sushi and sashimi selection, which showcases perfect slices of the freshest fish. You can upgrade the starter selection and order the signature Tataki Sushi, consisting of wagyu and foie gras with thinly sliced crunchy cucumber.
The four-course main, served on one large shared platter, is filled with Italian and Japanese delicacies such as Japanese Hokkaido fried salmon with truffle tartar sauce, grilled wagyu beef Tsukune skewers with pan-fried foie gras teriyaki, grilled fresh king prawns in spicy tomato coulis and succulent grilled lamb with seasonal asparagus and black olive sauce. Don’t forget the desserts, including the popular yuzu panna cotta.
