First, there’s Sugar & Spice, an enclave of culinary excellence that transcends continents. Its vibrant ambience serves as a canvas for the talented food artisans who orchestrate a symphony of taste at six open-show kitchens. The menu is a testament to diversity, offering everything from Kagoshima A5 beef to rare lobster dishes. If your sweet tooth demands attention, the array of desserts, including the ivory chocolate mousse and baked banana tarte tatin, will not disappoint.

The journey doesn’t end there. Beyond the allure of Sugar & Spice lies a hidden gem, SHIO. Behind an unassuming door awaits a private teppanyaki bar where the chefs craft elegant seasonal dishes and personalised omakase menus. Here, simplicity meets sophistication as Japanese cuisine finds its voice in the freshest of ingredients, paired harmoniously with a selection of sake, Japanese beers, whiskies and cocktails.

The sensory indulgence continues at The Lounge, a space that pays homage to Indonesia’s rich coffee and tea heritage. From single-origin coffees to exquisite teas spanning the archipelago, this haven invites patrons to revel in the flavours of Indonesia. Whether it’s afternoon tea, a casual meet-up or an evening of live entertainment coupled with craft beers, cocktails, wines and Champagnes, The Lounge offers an experience that’s both relaxed and refined.

The culinary prowess of InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah extends beyond its public spaces. The Studios, Vineyard and Spirit Room beckon with private dining options where the culinary team is led by the hotel’s new culinary maestro, Chef Marco Sberna. Marco has secured some Michelin accolades along his journey and now he’s bringing his expertise to InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah.
