TATE Dining Room and Bar moves from Soho to Hollywood Road

Vicky Lau

Chef Vicky Lau’s iconic TATE Dining Room and Bar in Soho has been setting the standard for intimate fine-dining in Hong Kong since 2012 and, on the back of that success, Lau’s splendid eatery has been reborn and revitalised in Sheung Wan. It’s now bigger but retains the air of exclusivity and, of course, Chef Lau’s exceptional cuisine.

Situated on Hollywood Road, the new TATE features a dining room for up to 30 guests, a private room for 12 guests, a private chef’s table and an elegant bar and lounge area for pre-dinner cocktails.

Serving an eclectic mix of French and Asian Cuisine, the menu is an exploration into culinary expressionism with beautiful dishes like her pan-roasted Suzuki sea bass served with aged mandarin peel jam, lobster orange sauce and dressed with fennel pollen and baby fennel.

The goal is to provide a memorable experience based upon the concept that every dish should tell the story of its very nature and conception. Chef Lau dubs this her “Edible Stories” as diners unravel the story of the dish as they experience its beauty, aroma, textures and flavours.

Ideal for private dinners and cocktail parties, Chef Lau has raised the bar for the intimate dining-set of Hong Kong.
