Tipping its hat to Lewis Carroll’s fabulous fantasy adventure, Catalunya serves up the delightfully sweet and sour Alice in Wonderland cocktail, naturally in a teacup to mimic those at the Mad Hatter’s Tea party. Often referred to by guests as the carrot cocktail, it was inspired by Gajar Halwa – a popular Indian dessert of coconut and carrot paste cooked with sugar and cardamom. To this, Catalunya adds a range of complementary nutty liqueurs balanced with honey and lemon to create a delicate, intricate and refreshingly cool cocktail. Vodka is the final touch, leaving the sublime fusion of taste unaltered.
