Sunday Brunch at Jakarta
The Dharmawangsa is definitely one of Jakarta’s favourite five-star hotels. It is especially famous for its dining options, thanks to their in-house celebrity, Executive Chef Vindex Tengker, who can be seen on Top Chef: Indonesia.
Chef Vindex orchestrates a beautifully lavish Sunday Brunch at The Dharmawangsa’s Jakarta restaurant. One of the highlights is the bar featuring smoked trout and salmon as well as gravelax salmon served with eggs yolk, white eggs, capers, vodka sour cream, herbs and a la minute cooked blinis. Guests will also find stands carved from ice carrying seafood delicacies like poached half-shell Spanish lobster and tiger prawns, a freshly prepared sushi roll station and homemade pâté en croûte.
There’s also a live cooking station specialising in poached or scrambled eggs, as well as eggs florentine with smoked salmon, flavoured with truffle and herbs. The Grill Station offers up custom cooked steak, lamb, Merguez sausage, tiger prawn, scallops and lots more meaty treats. The Carving Station, with 300 days Black Angus rib eye, roasted rack of lamb with roasted garlic sauce, salmon en croûte with mushroom sauce and roasted Chinese duck with plum sauce offers even more.
For some, the foie gras station, which serves the goose liver pan fried with poached pears, might be the biggest treat. But if you’re more into sweets, the assorted mini pastries, tiramisu, crème brûlée and chocolate fountain may take the cake.
Sunday Brunch at Jakarta Restaurant runs from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm. Rp. 495,000 ++ adult, Rp. 375,000 ++ (children 4 -11 years old) inclusive of welcome drink and baby chocolate martini.
