Although new restaurant openings are a dime a dozen in Bali, every now and then you find one that hits a nerve. Appealing to both the fashion and health conscious, Watercress is located on Jl. Batubelig, in between Canggu and Seminyak. Open for lunch only, think white-washed brick walls, vaulted open beam ceilings, a rice paddy out back and a trendy, laid-back vibe. We can’t get past their Watercress Avo, an open face sandwich piled high with fresh, organic watercress salad tossed with a lemon tahini dressing, thin slices of seasoned avocado and toasted soy seeds. Served on two slices of rustic sourdough bread, you won’t leave hungry. Top it off with a soy piccolo, a pint-sized latte, or their Cacao Buzz, a thick smoothie blended with cacao, bananas, almonds and soy milk.
