Proudly boasting its Michelin star, Belon is an exciting and vibrant neo-Parisian restaurant located in the heart of Hong Kong’s fashionable district of Soho.
Helmed by English chef Daniel Calvert, this chic and charming Parisian bistro-style eatery has a sophisticated feel with light woods, terrazzo topped tables and a mix of wooden chairs and blue leather benches. With broad scalloped mirrors the restaurant is light and airy through the day whilst the simple globe lighting is dimmed in the evening to add a touch of romance.
In the kitchen Calvert has a reputation for both simplicity and excellence, skills he honed in a number of iconic Michelin-starred kitchens including The Ivy, Pied à Terre, Per Se and Epicure at Le Bristol.
Like many excellent chefs, with Calvert it’s all about the attention to detail, be that sourcing the best produce or the crafting of culinary masterpieces that look and taste divine. Building on his extensive experience and philosophy, Calvert has created a menu packed with simple yet delicious and beautifully presented French culinary classics.
The menu is large and boasts some extraordinary plates and is backed by excellent service and a diverse collection of wines curated by the impressive Sandeep Arora. Choose from Australian, French and Italian along with a selection of natural and orange wines. There’s also a delightful six-course Sunday Lunch that features some of Belon’s signature favourites and a fabulous upstairs bar where Axel Adriel Gonzáles adds his own inventive genius to the cocktail list.
