An introduction might be unnecessary when it comes to this legendary beach club in Bali. Designed by respected Indonesian architect Andra Matin, Potato Head Beach Club’s unmistakable coliseum-style facade made of colourful repurposed window shutters has become an iconic landmark in Bali’s vibrant Seminyak neighbourhood. Inside, guests can choose to sit in the lounge, by the bar, the most sought-after poolside daybed or picnic-style on the grass. Potato Head’s restaurant and bar serve creative tropical-themed cuisine and concoctions that you won’t find anywhere else. The mixology team here is one of the most respected on the island, the brains behind Potato Head’s one-of-a-kind locally influenced libations – suitable for Bali’s tropical climate. The beach club is also home to at least three restaurants with different concepts to cater to many palates. From Indonesian restaurant Kaum, the self-explanatory Pizza Garden to the newly opened Ijen with its zero-waste approach.
Having said that, Potato Head Beach Club is more than just meticulously created F&B, it’s a one-stop destination that covers everything cool – from music to art and fashion. The beach club is best known and loved for its annual Sunny Side Up festival, bringing in talented local and international musical line-ups to raise the roof in summer. In between, Potato Head Beach Club also sees regular music sessions, unique craft workshops and inspired collaborations with fashion brands and talented artists. The cherry on top? The refreshing pool overlooking the ocean, of course.
