The charming bar isn’t anything like the usual stuffy and smoke-filled bars, in fact, Tree Bar is comfortably breezy with a semi-open setting and lush foliage from the hanging potted plants and the bar’s pièce de résistance, the namesake big tree around which the bar is built.
Focusing on bespoke, creative cocktails, Tree Bar has coined the trademarked term Balixology, the art of preparing mixed drinks using locally grown herbs, spices, greens and tropical fruits inspired by the rich Balinese heritage to create new taste sensations. Led by Beverage Manager Borty, Balixology includes local spirit infusions and homemade bitters. At Tree Bar, you’ll find libations unlike any others, such as the Laklak Swizzle – a Caribbean-style cocktail inspired by the Balinese dessert laklak, the Tamba Bali, homage to a Balinese ancient remedy, or the Kelapa Old Fashioned – the house’s own take on the classic cocktail.
The Balixology happy hour is available daily from 4pm till 6pm, but you won’t want to miss the Midweek Jive every Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm. At the weekly happening, you can choose from the Balixology collection, or even better, handpick your own favoured ingredients to create the perfect cocktail that is right up your preference alley.
