Stablished in Dempsey Hill in 2008, the award-winning Tippling Club currently spans into three shophouses at 38 Tanjong Pager Road and features an ample bar and dining room. The Chef-Owner Ryan Clift’s brand of modern gastronomy is fun, playful, and fresh. It imbues the dining experience with a sense of excitement and a dramatic touch of theatre.
Just recently, Tippling Club unveiled its innovative new bar menu A Guide to Modern Drinking, Volume II, a grand continuation of the story told in the previous Volume I, launched in late 2019. If Volume I explored the past and present drinks through the lens of classic French dishes crafted by culinary maestro Auguste Escoffier, Volume II will take a more artistic approach; drawing inspiration from modern art and celebrated artists. Each drink tells a unique story of the piece it pays homage to.
Conceived by Chef Ryan and Head Bartender Andrew Loudon, the menu of A Guide to Modern Drinking, Volume II, features seven distinct categories in a wide-range of drink styles; Champagne Cocktails, Cocktails, Rocks, Highballs, Through the Ages, Mocktails and a section dedicated to Classic Cocktails using Lord Ryan’s Prohibition Gin, Tippling Club’s exotic spice-driven collaboration with Prohibition Liquor Co.
Across the sections, each concoction translates an artistic masterpiece into a drinking experience. Highlights include the savoury and herbaceous Ciphers & Constellations, the Basquiat-inspired Untitled Skull and the Andy Warhol-inspired Dollar Sign, which blends LOUIS XIII, Champagne and Okinawa Kokuto sugar and bitters for the ultimate taste of luxury.
