The origins of The Coffee Academïcs can be traced back over a decade ago when Jennifer W.F. Liu founded The Coffee Academïcs in the bustling retail hub of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The Coffee Academïcs is guided by the principle of sourcing the highest quality coffee beans from across the globe, roasting them locally, and steadfastly committing to education, training and innovation.
Since its inception, The Coffee Academïcs has rapidly expanded its presence, boasting approximately 20 thriving outlets in Hong Kong and an additional 19 scattered throughout Southeast Asia, including three establishments in Indonesia. Notably, in 2021, The Coffee Academïcs unveiled its flagship store in the heart of Jakarta’s Ashta District 8. This sprawling establishment, covering an impressive 330sqm within the Senopati lobby, encompasses a prominent pastry section, inviting seating arrangements and a sprawling 183sqm outdoor space. Following the flagship are two kiosks in Commune at RDTX Place and Trinity Tower, and another store soon to be opened at PIK Avenue.
The stores proudly showcases The Coffee Academïcs Indonesia’s finest offerings, including its acclaimed signature lattes. Among these, the Manuka latte, infused with premium Manuka honey from New Zealand, stands out, alongside the Okinawa latte, which incorporates brown sugar in the Japanese style and the Jawa latte, which harmoniously blends local palm sugar with a hint of pandan.
As a testament to the brand’s commitment to education, patrons can partake in the Flight Experience, a one-on-one coffee brewing session guided by a highly-trained barista. During this immersive journey, guests witness the meticulous preparation and brewing of a perfect cup of coffee right before their eyes.
