Named after the art of Balinese kite flying, Layang Layang is a beautiful locally inspired restaurant found on the ground floor of the luxurious Fairmont Sanur Beach.
Open from noon until 3PM, the Sunday Lobster Brunch is a must for those who enjoy the heady delights of quality dining in a dazzling, yet relaxed setting. As the name suggests, the Fairmont’s Sunday brunch is heavy on lobster dishes and combines a delicious à la carte menu with a selection of pass-around plates served alongside a range of high quality savoury and sweet buffet delicacies.
From the buffet choose from the bread basket with lobster dip, fresh oysters shucked to order or gently poached lobster, while the salad bar is packed with plain and mixed salads including Caesar salad with shrimp, Greek and Tuna salads. The charcuterie and cheese boards are divine; don’t miss the smoked salmon on ciabatta or the freshly baked croissants. At the hot stations, grilled lobsters, jumbo prawn skewers, lamb medallions and whole baked fish will no doubt entice, especially enjoyed with a hearty helping of roast baby potatoes, boiled asparagus or spinach in a rice butter sauce.
Order from the à la carte menu, cooked to order and served at your table. The Fairmont Sanur Lobster Eggs Benedict is a brunch classic, or possibly the delicious mixed seafood omelette or Tagliatelle Frutti Di Mare will take your fancy? There’s also pan-seared lobster and the restaurant’s famous Lobster laksa to try, as well as a delicious beef Wellington before heading back to the dessert buffet, which includes a rich crème brule, assorted éclairs, brownies and delicate fruit tartlets with gelato.
With a range of comfortable indoor seating options along with a new covered outdoor terrace, live entertainment and a variety of drinks packages – well that’s Sunday brunch in Sanur sorted!
