Beryl in Bali

Beryl in Bali

The hip W Bali – Seminyak welcomed a new addition to the team in February. The resort appointed Chef Beryl Adler as the new director of culinary, bringing with him colourful experience from working in five-star hotels and cutting his teeth on the east and west coasts of the US and in the Caribbean.

Growing up in Scottscale, Arizona, Beryl started his journey working for a small Asian fusion restaurant before graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. In the Big Apple, Beryl worked at Per Se by Thomas Keller and Momofuku restaurants.

His impressive repertoire includes career stints at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, Florida, The Ritz-Carlton LA Live and The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay. He then ran the banquet kitchen at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman in the Caribbean. Not only does he have a stellar resume, but Beryl also actively participates in charity events like Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry and many other food banks in the US.

“I am excited to join W Bali – Seminyak and to bring fun, creative, seasonal and delicious food to this beautiful piece of paradise,” he commented on his appointment. “I can’t wait to build more success stories with the team in the future!”

With a preference for local ingredients and crafting outstanding food, Beryl has a knack for creating imaginative cuisine.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chef Beryl Adler to the island,” said W Bali – Seminyak’s General Manager Craig Seaward. “An extremely talented chef with an expert touch, outstanding knowledge and world-class skills. We look forward to our dining experience taking a new fun path under his leadership.”
