Architecture becomes a stage for nocturnal theatre, where Halloween unfolds with a sense of anticipation and artful spectacle.
As dusk settles over Kerobokan, guests drift beneath the bamboo arches of Sardine by K Club, drawn into an atmosphere where the familiar gives way to something more enigmatic. The dining hall, defined by its sustainable structure and interplay of shadow and light, takes on a quietly dramatic presence. On Saturday, 31 October 2026, The Gates of Bali returns with House of Dolls, an edition that promises to blur the line between reality and reverie. From 11.30 PM, the threshold between worlds quietly opens.
Inside, the air vibrates with low, insistent rhythms as figures in doll-like masks and elaborate costumes move through shifting pools of light. At the bar, cocktails arrive laced with local citrus and botanicals, their aromas mingling with the anticipation in the room. The evening unfolds in layers, with installations and concealed details revealing themselves to those willing to linger.
The soundtrack shifts under the guidance of Remy Irwan, Nikki Frazetta, Syania, and Eline, moving from subtle echoes to insistent basslines as midnight approaches. A costume contest adds a note of playful rivalry, with rewards that extend across K Club Ubud, Sardine Bali and Les Toilettes. Here, disguise becomes a form of expression, and illusion lingers long after the music fades.
Later, the narrative shifts to Les Toilettes 2.0, where Patient Zero draws the night into its final, fevered hours. Beneath porcelain masks, anonymity becomes a shared language, and the energy in the room builds with each passing moment. At Sardine, the art of nocturnal celebration finds new expression in the interplay of spectacle and secrecy.
