This October, Sundara at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay gives its familiar beachfront Sunday ritual a charitable purpose for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
When you’re at Sundara, the premier beachfront dining destination at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, it isn’t hard to experience la vie en rose, especially with the restaurant’s Pink Brunch every Sunday. But the colour holds a significance beyond blissful beauty; the pink ribbon also acts as a symbol of breast cancer awareness, commemorated in October. That’s why Sundara is launching the Wear Pink, Spread Love initiative throughout the month.
For every guest who arrives at Pink Brunch donning their rose-coloured Sunday best, Sundara donates 15 per cent of their bill to the Bali Pink Ribbon foundation. Throughout its 18-year run, the non-government organisation has been raising awareness of breast cancer through multiple campaigns and programmes spanning free screenings, seminars, talk shows, and fundraising events that has helped many women across Bali and East Indonesia avoid, prevent, and detect breast cancer as early as possible.
The Pink Brunch programme remains the same: seasonal dishes in different shades of the cheery hue (beetroot-dyed gnocchi or a strawberry mille-fuille, anyone?), a dazzling platter of seafood on ice featuring the likes of coffee wood-smoked salmon and succulent lobsters, and of course, the Whispering Angel rosé that spruces up the Sunday afternoon. Guests can even enjoy a dip in the glittering 57-metre pool while gazing at the shimmering coast of Jimbaran Bay after their satisfying meal.
At its heart, the ethos of the initiative is simple yet meaningful. Come hungry, share a lovely midday break before another long week starts, and contribute to the betterment of the local community. It’s another way Sundara proves that life in pink isn’t about wearing rose-coloured glasses.
