At this prestigious hotel, the Rotary Club of Jakarta welcomed a new president and unveiled three community-focused initiatives that will shape its work in education, wellbeing, and innovation over the coming year.
Every new chapter starts with a common purpose. This was true for the Rotary Club of Jakarta, which happened to be on 28 June, when club members welcomed a new executive committee and planned the way for another year of service in Indonesia.
Rotary Club of Jakarta, Rotary Club of Jakarta Gambir, Rotary Club of Jakarta Kelapa Gading, and Rotary Club of Jakarta Millennium met at the ARYADUTA Menteng for their Joint Club Installation Night. It was not just about changing the executive committee and welcoming a new one. It was also about coming back, remembering the previous year and setting the tone for the next year.
The evening combined both official and entertaining activities. The guests enjoyed the performance by CentreStage Band, Fashion Show and even participated in the Best in Costume competition, where everyone was laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Fellowship is the cornerstone of Rotary.
One of the night’s key moments was the installation of Ram Nurani, Group Vice President of Operations at ARYADUTA Hotel Group, as President of the Rotary Club of Jakarta for the 2026–2027 Rotary Year. Before taking on the role, he completed the President Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) and District Training Assembly (DTA), organised by Rotary International District 3410, equipping him to lead the club in line with Rotary International’s standards.
On the theme of Growing Together. Serving With Purpose., the club also presented its goals for the coming year. The emphasis is placed on building member engagement, adaptability, wider reach, and sustainability by means of programs that continue growing from year to year.
Those ambitions will take shape through three flagship initiatives. The first will assist in improving the facilities in schools which are required. An innovative program that has been initiated in collaboration with Universitas Pelita Harapan will focus on instilling leadership qualities in the students. Alongside these efforts, the club will partner with ARYADUTA Hotels on a Wellness Initiative featuring health talks, yoga sessions, sports activities, wellbeing programmes, and education that promotes healthier living.
Regarding the future plans of the club, according to Ram Nurani: “ARYADUTA understands that true hospitality extends beyond our hotels. It is an honour for us to contribute to Rotarians’ projects aimed at building healthy, robust, and strong communities.”
All these efforts constitute part of what the club believes in concerning how to create changes through cooperation. Through cooperation by educators, business persons, and volunteers, the club expects to continue implementing projects that would sustain the differences created after the initial implementation.
With the coming of the Rotary year, the atmosphere moves from celebratory to action-oriented. Armed with its new leadership and vision, the Rotary Club of Jakarta is determined to serve communities through service-oriented activities.
