Sarong goes spicy celebrating Indian cuisine

In celebration of this unique festival and India’s mouthwatering regional dishes, in early March, Chef Kumar headed up a scrumptious, week-long Indian Food Fest at award-winning Sarong Restaurant in Seminyak – an apt choice, given that Sarong’s Asian-inspired menus incorporate authentic Indian offerings from its own resident Indian Chef Rana. Not surprisingly, this was an enormously well-attended culinary festival, before continuing on for another week in Bali at Melia Bali Hotel, Nusa Dua. At a special dinner event held 4th March at Sarong, a select ensemble of VIP guests, including Indonesian dignitaries and diplomatic corps members, international chefs, prominent members of Bali’s Indian community, celebrities and local media, were fortunate enough to savour an elaborate feast of sublime regional Indian cuisine courtesy of Chef Kumar and Sarong’s exceptional culinary team, led by celebrity chef Will Meyrick.
