Every Friday evening, Grand Cafe at Grand Hyatt Jakarta brings together premium Wagyu, live cooking stations and Indonesian favourites in a buffet that gives diners plenty of reasons to stay for another serving.
Fridays tend to be a time when people come together after a hectic week. Dinner, in such cases, is not only about having a meal but about spending quality time, celebrating achievements and enjoying the company of the people whom you intended to meet throughout the week. The Grand Hyatt Jakarta has introduced the Wagyu Feast which uses this concept to offer a dinner that revolves around one of the most coveted meats.
This weekly event takes place every Friday starting at 6pm at Grand Cafe on Level 3 from 5 June 2026. The dinner includes a buffet menu featuring Wagyu meat in all kinds of varieties possible. However, the cooks do not confine their creativity within creating several signature dishes but show the ingredient in various presentations.
The evening starts on a quieter note with several dishes served directly to guests. A5 Kagoshima Wagyu sets the tone, followed by Chawanmushi, Bone Marrow with Sambal Ijo Emulsion and Barramundi Tuturuga. Each course is thoughtfully paced, allowing the flavours to unfold before diners move on the buffet.
Not long after, the live stations will take centre stage. The sound of frying beef, busy chefs at the counters and the smell of grilled beef make the environment alive yet not too loud. Wagyu Wellington is being cut into slices right before our eyes, whereas Roasted Wagyu Ribs, Wagyu Sukiyaki, Wagyu Beef Roll and Wagyu Burgers are being prepared all night through, guaranteeing a freshness of each served dish.
There is still plenty to enjoy even closer to our country. Indonesia’s classics such as Wagyu Beef Rendang, Iga Wagyu and Wagyu Sate Maranggi demonstrate what a difference top-quality beef makes in dishes that we already know. Besides, Grand Cafe also offers its unique comfort foods for those who wish to have both local and international food in their menu.
The price for the buffet is IDR758,000++ per person. For those who would like to enjoy additional drinks with the main course, there is an option to choose the Easy Indulgence package which will provide two hours of free-flow wine, beer, soft drinks and fresh juices. Alternatively, one may choose Celebration Experience which will provide the drinks’ selection with such beverages as Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial, cocktails, mocktails, coffee and tea.
