El Kabron
Perhaps one of Asia’s most awe-inspiring bars, which just so happens to serve some of the region’s very best cocktails, El Kabron is quite simply a haven for cocktail-supping connoisseurs. Teetering dramatically over the edge of Bali’s stunning clifftop peninsula, with a shimmering infinity pool that trickles 50 metres above the crashing waves below, El Kabron is a bar unlike any other, complete with a lively Spanish atmosphere and of course, world-class concoctions. If you’re lucky enough to nab a front row seat here for a dazzling Bali sunset, El Kabron’s signature cocktails are a must. In particular, the Drive Me Crazy sees a combination of sweet and sour, made using 8 year old Bacardi Rum, fresh passion fruit, vanilla and lime, served up in an elegant Martini glass. It is part of the newest collection of Freixenet cocktails by world-renowned mixologist, Javier de las Muelas. For a brighter, lighter taste, the Bianca is fruity and herbaceous with homemade Spanish Orujos combined with chamomile, mint and spearmint, perfect for the tropical Bali climate. Pair with some tapas plates, salads and richly spiced paella and you’ll no doubt find yourself ordering another round.
