Idlewild At InterContinental Singapore

Idlewild At InterContinental Singapore

Secreted away on the ground floor of the luxurious InterContinental Singapore and inspired by the golden age of air travel is the stylish cocktail bar Idlewild. The original name of JFK International Airport in New York, a major player in the growth of air travel, Idlewild is a warm venue that brims with character and timeless charm and is bursting with the spirit of adventure and exploration.

Accessed via a swanky salon-style entrance, guests first enter The Parlour, a small but opulent space with leather seating and rich blue walls adorned with antique photographs and travel-related artefacts.

The focal point of The Parlour is the Cabinet of Curiosities, a walk-in room lined with mirrors and home to over 50 rare and exotic spirits and a plethora of trinkets and drink paraphernalia curated from travels across the globe.

Beyond The Parlour, enter the bar and Main Room, a beguiling space with a choice of seating, including luxurious bar stools and red leather banquette booths ensconced in rich woods and illuminated by beautiful old-world table and bar top lights, along with bespoke propeller-shaped ceiling lighting.

The bar boasts over 250 craft spirits and liqueurs and a cocktail menu created by Head of Operations and Creative Andy Griffiths that takes guests on a voyage of exploration in the age of wonder, joy and adventure.

The passport-style menu was inspired by 10 cities along the Transatlantic Route – Dublin, Rome, Lima, Lisbon, New York, Casablanca, London, Paris, Mexico City and Havana, and features 20 delicious signature cocktails complemented by an extensive selection of wines, spirits, craft beers and non-alcoholic beverages.
