The Astor Diamond Champagne Sunday Brunch at The St. Regis Bali Resort’s Kayuputi restaurant sets the standard for sophisticated Sunday dining. Undeniably decadent, the brunch follows the well-established St. Regis lavish dining traditions but adds a distinctly Balinese twist with its inspired design, décor and superb beachfront location.
The brunch opens with a bang as between 11am and noon as guests are invited to indulge in an hour of free-flow cocktails, champagnes, wines and delicious canapés in the refined bar before being invited to take their seats in the elegant dining area or outdoors on the beachside terrace.
A hedonistic dining experience, the brunch is available with or without the Champagne package and is entirely à la carte and table showcased. Open with amuse-bouche like prime Sturia caviar vintage, charcuterie, freshly baked breads and pastries, Chinese herbal duck consommé with duck spring roll before exploring the array of delectable entrée including the succulent yellow fin tuna tartar served with fruit salsa and tamarind sorbet.
From there, as the Champagne and wines flow freely, spoil yourself with elegantly plated offerings like chargrilled Black Angus beef tenderloin, Auskobe rib eye steak, herb bread-crusted Australian lamb chop, crispy pork belly or Wakatori chicken.
For pasta lovers the Strozzapreti bolognaise and garganelli with sweet prawns, lemon and saffron sauce are a must-try. The experience closes with a selection of artisanal cheese and a treat or two from the dessert trolley like the signature Bois Blanc cake and the magnificent Astor diamond chocolate soufflé, as well as a fine selection of cigars and digestifs for those so inclined.
