Canggu acquired a new big player in the dining game with the opening of Lulu Bistrot, with the masses itching for a unique experience that the one it provides. The new restaurant has since become an instant favourite among the local community, bringing a fresh perspective on contemporary French bistro offerings. Located among a buzzing strip of Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong, Lulu Bistrot showcases a unique fusion of classic allures and modern elegance. The interior provides a laid-back ambience within the three available seating areas of the main dining area, the bar and the terrace, accommodating 70, 14 and 26 guests respectively. The elegant venue takes inspiration from a Parisian café setting, containing a splendid aesthetic, delightful French bistro fare focused on quality locally sourced ingredients and an extensive array of wines and cocktails.
Executive Chef Ryan Thejasukmana, along with his talented crew, has curated a selection of French favourites, made from some of the finest locally sourced ingredients in the region and global produce. Chef Ryan’s deep appreciation for French, Spanish and Japanese food cultures inspires a diverse and approachable menu of tantalising dishes that caters to all. Some of Lulu Bistrot’s signatures include calamari and merguez sausage, tuna ala Provençal, onion tarte tatin with light pecorino sauce, grilled fish of the day with cilantro beurre blanc and rose wine jelly and homemade crème fraiche.
