What makes a souvenir truly memorable? Rather than something that sits forgotten on a shelf, MO BAR at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore has created one that captures the city’s character in liquid form. Introduced on 28 July 2026, MO BAR Edition No.1 Gin is the hotel’s first house-crafted spirit, developed over the course of a year with local craft distillery Distillius.
Made in the classic Old Tom style, the gin offers a softer, slightly sweeter profile than a traditional London Dry. Botanicals, including dried mango, mandarin, coriander seed, and osmanthus, are balanced by a touch of Sauvignon Blanc, creating a bright, fruit-forward spirit with a gentle juniper finish. Each 500ml bottle is presented in a bespoke ceramic vessel inspired by a traditional Chinese plum vase, featuring artwork influenced by the Keng Wai Lee mural in the hotel lobby and Singapore’s Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid.
To celebrate the launch, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore invites guests to sample this spirit firsthand through The First Edition Experience. Running throughout August, this limited-time event presents the gin neat, as a Gin & Tonic, and in two signature cocktails.
