For the holy month of Ramadhan, the culinary team at Four Points by Sheraton Jakarta, Thamrin, led by Head Chef Samuel Adi, presents the nostalgic feel of the kampung (hometown), by serving traditional local cuisine from all over Indonesia and recreating that ambience. The hotel’s restaurant, The Eatery, opens its doors from 6 to 31 May and offers a special iftar package that includes a selection of takjil, like dates, es pisang ijo, biji salak, es doger and es blewah. The team has transformed the salad station into a snack corner, showcasing Indonesian favourites like gado-gado and tahu gejrot – prepared by a lady in a traditional kebaya. The main dishes include iga bakar penyet, ayam bakakak and ikan kakap sambal matah, on top of the rich Nasi Ala Nusantara rice selection.
