Jehan Khaleda

Marketing Manager at Klive Beach Club

E: What are your responsibilities?
A:
Safeguarding the brand, fuelling growth, and making sure every promise holds true. My world covers marketing, PR, partnerships, campaigns, and commercial strategy, but above all, I am the keeper of alignment. As our own saying goes, what guests book and their actual experience must all sing the same tune. Otherwise, it’s just clever words with nothing to back them up.

E: What makes a typical day?
A:
I typically walk in armed with a plan, only to find hospitality greeting me with a handful of curveballs. Marketing is equal parts psychology, mathematics, and, at times, dabbling in the supernatural. It means decoding behaviour, spotting patterns, and predicting reactions before anyone else even notices.

E: What is your greatest attribute?
A:
I have a knack for catching weaknesses before they turn expensive. Analytical by nature and endlessly curious, I’m never content with good enough. I hunt for patterns, ask the tough questions, and keep digging until everything clicks. It might make me a tough critic, but it almost always leads to better results.

E: Are you more of a team player or team leader?
A:
I step up as a leader when the path needs clearing and roll up my sleeves as a team player when it’s time to get things done. Decision-making comes naturally, but true leadership is not about titles. It’s about bringing clarity, owning responsibility, and showing others why high standards are worth the effort.

E: Who has been the most influential figure in your career?
A:
Without naming names, it’s probably the toughest boss I ever had. Inspiring leaders showed me what to follow. Challenging ones taught me about boundaries, resilience, sharp judgement, and the kind of leader I vowed never to be. Both lessons were priceless.

E: What’s one thing that makes Klive Beach Club really special?
A:
Klive Beach Club finds that sweet spot between aspiration and accessibility. Its sweeping 180-degree ocean views and breathtaking cliffside location create an experience that feels elevated but never unwelcoming. That same harmony guides my marketing approach. Aspiration should invite, not intimidate, and accessibility should never water down what makes a brand special.

E: How do you unwind?
A:
At work, I head straight for the bar. Negronis practically run through my veins. At home, I enjoy documentaries and crime films because solving mysteries helps me switch off. My favourite form of meditation is nail art, where colour and tiny details keep my perfectionist mind at ease.

E: Dead or alive, who would you like to take out to dinner?
A:
Joan Rivers. Fearless, razor-sharp, and allergic to boring conversations. Dinner with her would be equal parts interrogation, comedy roast, and a crash course in perfect timing. I’d likely walk away a little insulted, completely entertained, and with a couple new opinions I never would’ve expected to have.
