One of Bali’s most iconic beach clubs reinterprets beloved Christmas flavours with its signature coastal flair for a three-course lunch.
Bali may be the land of endless summer, but with Christmas around the corner, the warm flavours of winter are making a comeback. This festive season, KU DE TA puts their own tropical spin on the holiday’s quintessential palate for The Art of Christmas, a limited menu specially curated to herald the jolliest time of the year.
Throughout December, diners can delight in the Christmas Comes Early festive menu, featuring wintry twists on tropical fare. Take the Creamy Tuna Tartare, for example, where the silky raw fish is dressed up with cloves and orange zest. Another highlight is the wood-fired kalua pork neck, accentuated with a succulent pineapple-lime coulis and candied ginger.
For an even more special meal, stop by KU DE TA on the 25th for a menu exclusive to Christmas Day. It features a turkey terrine infused with salty Iberico capicola and tart cranberry relish, priming diners for the entrée, a smoky wood-fired pureblood Wagyu steak that has been dry-aged for 21 days and finished with a floral juniper demi-glace. End on a sweet note with a concoction of spiced espresso, roasted pineapple and coconut mascarpone that comes together for a spin on the tiramisu.
The festivities won’t end at the last course. As the golden sun dips behind the glimmering ocean, Lamented Laughter will come on with soulful tunes as a live soundtrack to the afternoon’s delights, enlivening the ambience for a one-of-a-kind oceanfront Christmas celebration.
As the year draws to a close, however, a more dazzling revelry is ready to ring in the new year on 31 December 2025. Australian DJ and producer Late Nite Tuff Guy will spin his signature retro disco beats, leading up to a spectacular firework show over the Indian Ocean, accompanied by KDT All Stars’ tunes at midnight. Whether it’s the Christmas lunch or the New Year’s Eve bash, KU DE TA promises an explosive way to end 2025 on a high note.
