Every 5 May, Mexican-Americans gear up for a celebration that commemorates the triumph of Mexico against the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Aptly called Cinco de Mayo, which is Spanish for the holiday’s date, it is celebrated across North America, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, and even Japan. On 8 May 2026, the festivities arrive in Bali as The parlour, the elegant lounge within the cliffside resort The edge, marks the occasion with a bar takeover by Bojes Dadnyana, Beverage Manager of Tropical Temptation Beach Club.
Throughout the evening, Bojes brings his signature mixology style to The parlour, presenting a lineup of exquisite cocktails that showcase artisanal spirits. In true Mexican style, the evening features a curated menu of premium elixirs made with Tequila Herradura, a 100% agave tequila made in Jalisco, Mexico, that has been in production since 1870.
Guests who are unable to stop by for the bar takeover can still enjoy a menu of Tequila Herradura creations at The parlour throughout the month of May with four drinks comprising the Cinco de Mayo Specials menu. There are faithful renditions of the classics, like the lime juice-and-agave nectar medley of Horseshoe Margarita or a concoction of lime, grapefruit, and agave nectar in the Herradura Paloma, each made with Herradura Plata.
For a more creative spin, guests can find Jaliscan Treacle, a unique blend of sour apple liqueur, sugar cube, and orange bitters. Meanwhile, Magenta’s offers a mix of Aperol, dragon fruit syrup, strawberry juice, and lemon juice. Both cocktails are also created with Herradura Plata as the base, highlighting its agave-forward sweetness and subtle hints of oak and vanilla.
