At the heart of the evening is Executive Chef Lorenzo De Petris’ Mediterranean-inspired menu, which takes an ingredient-led approach to Italian cooking. Antipasti begins with grassfed beef tartare or cold smoked sardines, followed by handmade tonnarelli with sweet lemon butter, prawns, and Japanese bottarga. From the lava stone grill, spring chicken with rouille and market fish with burnt citrus bring a more substantial turn to the meal.
There is a touch of theatre at the table, too. Martinis are prepared tableside as the evening unfolds, while Da Maria’s signature tableside tiramisu provides a fitting finale. For those who prefer a shorter visit, Piano + Vino also suits a glass of wine at the bar or a bottle shared between friends.
