A Festive Chocolate Dream

The St. Regis Bali Resort has teamed up with chocolate experts Valrhona to create an enchanting afternoon tea experience, especially for the festive season.

Renowned for upholding family traditions and creating meaningful memories that bring families together, the St. Regis brand is famed for its afternoon teas around the world. As a special festive treat in Bali, for the months of November and December, the resort’s talented pastry chef, Vincent Stopin, and the Valrhona culinary team have brought their skills together to handcraft some exclusive Christmas treats showcasing four of Valrhona’s delightful chocolates.

Perhaps the highlight of these chocolates is the Cuvée Sakanti Bali 68%, a bar of rare, distinctive chocolate with a fruity tanginess that is grown on a very small scale in Bali. The other three chocolates being featured are the subtly sweet and delicate Opalys 33% white chocolate, the mellow blond Dulcey 32% with its gorgeous salty shortbread note, and the intense, cocoa-rich Jivara 40%.

Afternoon tea, accompanied by a live pianist, is served in the exquisitely beautiful King Cole Bar with its refined décor and artistic Balinese touches. Sweet and savoury delicacies, along with the festive chocolate treats, are served directly to the table, along with a select choice of teas, coffee and other drinks. Additional hot and cold nibbles, including the ever-popular lobster pies, and house-made ice cream, complete the sophisticated experience. Afternoon tea is served daily at King Cole Bar from 3pm to 5.30pm.
