A New Culinary Chapter Begins at Padma Resort Legian

With new Executive Chef Jocelyn Argaud taking the lead at the exclusive resort, a delightful experience for the palate and the eyes is never too far away on the Island of the Gods.

The culinary team at Padma Resort Legian is proud to introduce their newest member, Executive Chef Jocelyn Argaud, who takes over the kitchen. With an esteemed three-decade career that has taken him around the globe, Chef Jo is regarded as an invaluable piece anywhere he goes, from Michelin-starred French restaurants to international fine dining establishments. He is excited to bring his talents to one of Bali’s most exclusive sunset beach resorts.

Originally from Lyon, France, Chef Jo gained his inspiration for cooking from watching his mother. He would soon get into the profession himself, and after a 10-year career in France, Argaud would look to venture internationally. His remarkable talents have taken him worldwide, to destinations in Russia, Qatar, Dubai, the Maldives and many more nations. A highlight in Chef Jo’s career was his role in crafting exquisite dishes for respected world leaders and government dignitaries during the G8 Summit.

The new role at Padma Resort Legian is not the first for Chef Jo in Indonesia, as he began as an executive chef in Bali in 2016, before moving to Jakarta. It wasn’t long before he decided to continue his world exploration, working in Egypt for a while before returning to Bali to bring his expertise to Padma Resort Legian and enhance its culinary offerings.

Chef Jo brings a series of unique but important principles to his cooking, such as the requirement for a comprehensive menu, the use of local specialities and the connection to culture within each and every bite. Having immersed himself in as many cultures as anybody and with the expertise to prepare traditional, Indonesian, Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, among others, it’s hard to imagine anyone in a better position than Executive Chef Jocelyn Argaud to deliver an enticing one-stop culinary experience at the welcoming Padma Resort Legian.
