The New Ji with a View

The New Ji with a View

Regulars of Canggu Beach in Bali recently welcomed Ji Terrace by the Sea, a new and interesting hangout that’s unlike any of its nearby counterparts. Inspired by the exoticism of elusive and sensuous Asia, Ji Terrace by the Sea brings together ancient and contemporary Asian cultures in rich, deep colours, and is adorned by rare art and signature lanterns designed by Tugu.

Chef Colin Buchan, who previously worked for Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in London, Jason Atherton’s Pollen in Singapore and as a private chef for David and Victoria Beckham, trained the inspiring kitchen team to experiment with the idea of a journey through Indonesia, Japan, India, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries and present it in a modern way, using only the freshest local produce.

With an unobstructed 180-degree view of the alluring Indian Ocean and Canggu Beach, Ji Terrace by the Sea is also a perfect stop to have a glass or two (or more) of the intoxicating potions while getting lost in the sound of the rolling waves. Just like the food, the cocktails at Ji Terrace by the Sea draw inspiration from the lively Asian atmosphere. You can be sure the taste of the drinks matches their sultry and seductive presentation. Signatures that are worth sipping include the smokin’ Coco Sexo – homage to Indonesia’s volcanoes – and Tugu Signature Gin & Tea infused with Javanese tea and other herbs. The unrivalled vibe will also be enhanced with chill-out tunes spun by the DJ, just perfect for the sunset hours.
